I was recently invited back to speak at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Business Education Series for 2009. My session will be on September 9th and I expect it to be as well received as this year’s presentation: Cutting Edge Marketing in the Technology Age. Here’s what’s in store for my 2009 session:
Title:
Guess What? Traditional Sales Techniques are
Killing Your Bottom Line.
Description:
Why is it that in this increasingly difficult economy, there are some companies that keep right on selling. It’s because they recognize that selling isn’t about price, it’s about how you position yourself against your competition and effectively present the value you bring to the market. In this session, returning BES Speaker Scott Whitney will teach you. . .
- what the TRUE key to sales is. And how do you attain it?
- Why your “offer” is leaving most prospects cold
- The 5 Prerequisites to closing a sale
- how to QUADRUPLE the reasons for a prospect to buy from you
- how to develop a calling script that WILL generate callbacks and appointments
This highly interactive session will make you re-think all of your sales training. You should expect to leave this session with life-long techniques you can use immediately to improve your probability of sales (and thus, your bottom line).
Whatcha think? A great deal of what I teach folks during our podcasting work will be featured in this presentation. Here’s my questions–would you want to attend a session like this? I look forward to your feedback!
Awesome announcement Scott, congratulations! It should be a good feeling to know that the business community in your area has given your talents and knowledge such high recognition and praise by asking you back. Sounds to me like your message is sinking in and that you are becoming “the expert” that everyone seeks for answers. Good to know given the economy’s downturn. more and more people are moving to online to spend their dollars. Any way to post some video of what you did last time, or provide a link? Seems like I remember seeing something awhile back. take care.

Thanks, Stefan. I appreciate the nice comments.
Regarding a video. . .I didn’t record the previous presentation I did for the Chamber in February. The video that I did record was from the “Plan, Produce, Publish and Promote: The Four Keys to Podcasting Success” session I did for this year’s New Media Expo.
I have since recorded a video of the “Cutting Edge Marketing” session that I did for a private gathering, but haven’t seen the end result yet. My intent is to combine them both for a podcast training product we’re putting together.
