I am a big believer in music as an enhancer/mood creator for podcasts. All of our shows have music and I expect all future shows will do the same. I have used a variety of sources for our music, some of which can be pretty expensive. I came upon Musicloops.com during my travels and think I’ve found a great resource for podcasters.
From what I can tell, a small flat-fee gives you royalty-free rights for your podcast. I’ve had a chance to listen to a few samples and was impressed with many of the tunes I found.
The bad news is there is no easy way to take a track and place it in a sample show for a customer. They also have an audio watermark during the preview that is a bit annoying as well. Other then that, the site looks promising.
Check it out.
